What can I expect during treatment?
The treatment lasts approximately an hour. There is mild discomfort during the procedure, so topical numbing cream is usually applied prior to treatment. If the patient has a history of cold sores, prescription antiviral medication is recommended before and after treatment.
What can I expect after the treatment?
Discomfort resolves quickly within 1-2 hours after the treatment. Most patients experience some degree of redness and swelling after the treatment. Additionally, there is peeling and flaking of the skin that begins within 24 hours. Almost all patients have fully recovered and have a beautiful glow after 7 days, sometimes sooner.
How many treatments do I need?
Most patients have great results with just one treatment. Depending on skin type and goals of treatment, more than one treatment may be recommended.
When will I see results?
Almost all patients will see initial results within 5 days with improvement in color and texture. There continues to be an improvement in pigmentation for several weeks and improvement in fine lines and wrinkles over several months as new collagen is formed.
